The big drive

So here is what I have come up with………

Thursday 13th December – Leave Vancouver and drive to Banff – that should take us about 10 – 12 hours (if the highway is open!!).

Friday 14th December – I think we will take in a ski day. Banff or Lake Louise? which is better? another ski area? does anyone have any ideas? Then we will go to Calgary and stay in the city.

Saturday 15th December – Calgary to Regina. This should take about 8-9 hours depending on conditions

Sunday 16th December – I think we will head to the Manitoba capital for a night. What fun is there in Winnipeg? (its a 6 hour drive).

Monday 17th December – Winnipeg to the States. Having looked at various web sites it seems better to drop down to the States to go round the lakes. What do people think? If we do this we will head to Minneapolis. That is about a 7 hour drive.

Tuesday 18th December – I think we will head to Chicago a drive of about 7 hours.

Wednesday 19th December – Then for the last leg a big day of driving. A 13 – 15 hour trip to the GTA.

So thats the outline of the trip. I really can’t wait to get in the car!
