Update on Baby #2

I’ve definitely not been doing as good a job at updating about this baby as I did about Luke. Sorry about that!

We went in for an ultrasound to find out whether or not I’d have to have a c-section – and it’s turned out that the baby has gone back to being breech. I’ll be going in next Wednesday (Luke’s 2nd birthday) for another ultrasound to see if it’s moved back yet. If it hasn’t flipped back before my next doctor’s appointment (next Friday) I’ll be booked in for a c-section next Saturday morning – at which point I’ll have another (we’ve seriously got the world record for numbers of ultrasounds for non-high risk pregnancies!) ultrasound to see if it has flipped by then. If not baby Cairns #2 will be born sometime next Saturday!

Looks like our little trio is going to have a VERY busy week next week!

Wow! What an update! I will be praying that the baby will turn so you won’t have to have a c-section but still it’s exciting to know you might meet your little one next Saturday!

So exciting! Kind of fun to have a potential date. Might you be able to have it naturally if the baby flips or will you still have to have a c-section?

The doctor doesn’t think it’s too likely .. mostly because the scar hasn’t healed as well as he would like. It *may* be a small option … but the way our chat went yesterday, it doesn’t look likely, even if the baby does flip back.
