Nana and Grandad arrive!

But before I go into details about Nana and Grandad (Tom and Sylvia) arriving, I have to show this picture – it’s of Luke in his doggie towel after bath #2. He seemed slightly less traumatized when his hair was being washed, but still hates the water. We are doing full-immersion baths now so we’ll see how things go. As the doctor pointed out, babies don’t get actual exercise, so crying is their #1 form – it definitely puts a different light on the screaming!

Now on to pictures of Nana and Grandad:

They’ll be in Ontario for about a month which will be great for Luke – he loves the attention!!

Oh – and on another note. We heard that if you’re going to let you baby use a dummy (soother) that it’s best to wean them off of them between 3 and 6 months. That’s because babies don’t have the coordination to get their little thumbs into their mouths until then. Also, since their thumbs are so little, they don’t derive much pleasure from it (which is the whole point). Well believe it or not, Luke has already learned how to suck his thumb (all by himself!):

He hasn’t quite got his technique sorted just yet as he pokes himself in the eyes every time, but he’s learning!
