Welcome to the world…..Luke Cairns

Today at 1.43am Jen gave birth (by C section) to our son. We are calling him Luke (we havent worked out the middle names yet!). He weighed in at 6 pounds 13.5 ounces. Jen is very tired after being in the hospital for 16 hours before being taken in for a section. I will blog the whole story later – very tired right now myself!

Mother and baby are doing well. He has ate twice and filled a nappy already!

Here is a picture just for now – more to follow later (after I get some sleep!)

The second picture is right after the section as Jen is being stitched back up!

More photos later – I’m off to sleep

As with everyone else.. Congratulations! Stop while you are ahead and forget the middle name-Luke is fantastic-way better than the more effeminate Lucas…

HOORAY!!! Ben and I are soooo excited for you three! Wow. What a miracle. We haven’t heard our baby’s heartbeat yet — it seems like you’re decades ahead of us, but it’s good to see the little person that you’ve made through it all. 🙂

Lots of love to you both,
    JenBen

Tim – it is “he has eaten” or “he ate” – not “he has ate”. Really, the joy and stress of child birth is no excuse for a lapse in the use of English. Congratulations by the way.
