Chicopee, Raclette and Spooks

Not much has been happening for the last few days. Yesterday the Davis’ (check out their blog – the link is on the side bar). Came round and myself, Mac and Melissa went to the grandeur of the Chicopee Ski Club in Kitchener. Whistler it aint! The “hills” take about 5 seconds to ski down and its about a 10 minute wait on the lifts – I now have a new appreciation for the local Vancouver mountains!

After skiing we got our new Raclette grill out of the box. The Raclette is like fondue for intelligent people! See the picture here! It is a great invention and I recommend them almost as much as the George Foreman grill!

After Raclette we watched the first two episodes of the new series of the BBC drama Spooks (called MI5 in the USA and Canada although we watched the uncut British version). It was great to see the Americans get a pasting from the British. For those who do not know spooks is the British answer to 24 – the Jack Bauer character is about 65 and fat – so its a bit more realistic! Before people are killed there is always moral wrangling about the ethics of the whole thing – great TV.

Tonight we will watch the debates – Go Huckabee Go!

Harry is in his mid-50s, and he’s not fat. Also, he’s a lot smarter than Jack Bauer.
    Long live Spooks!
